How it all began

The following text was in fact the first piece I wrote. I was half-way towards India, at Qatar's airport, waiting for the next flight. I previously had it on the About page, but I feel it deserves a post of its own.
A few months ago I took the decision to finally journey through India for one month. Today is that day. I have been connected to that land due to yoga philosophy for many years, but I have not had the privilege to "drink for the source" of its people, culture and natural wonders.
Let me pause for a moment here: I actually find myself (now that I am writing this) in an "not-so-easy" reflection on truth.
Let me explain: when someone asks me if I have visited the country before, I always feel I can't simply say Yes or No. The problem is that none of them feel totally and clearly true. I have been there before, so "no" would clearly be a false answer. However, saying "yes" would open up a lot of other issues. Can you imagine the disappointment for the "growing-in-excitement" listener expecting all sort of fascinating tales about the mystic land and my answer only include the words traffic, campus, congress, and back to the airport?
That is my dilemma.
So, maybe I am going to, once and for all, have something meaningful to share. Or maybe I can't stand any longer to not answer a straight and confidently "Yes!".

As I now patiently wait for 8 hours at Qatar airport for my flight to New Delhi, and because I had to invent some thing for time to move faster, it became clear that this blog was something worth bringing down from the realm of ideas. First, because it serves as a creative channel. Second, because I had (surprisingly) many people asking me to share photos of the journey and I would not have the patience to do that. I could obviously use conventional social media, but this feels more personal.
Do see you a pattern here? It seems that less words or time I have to use with other fellow humans, the better. In the end, all it is for the selfish reason to not get bored. Irony aside, I am happy to share the intimate radiance of my heart with you all throughout these upcoming weeks.
As for the name, looking from the airplane window, high from the sky, has always struck me (see the first post). Hence the name skyborn. And the hummingbird? Beyond the fact that birds fly and represent freedom, no reason in particular. It simply appeared when I was searching for a logo image. Perhaps some things appear exactly when we need them.
Welcome friend to the skyborn chronicles.
